Senki Zesshou Symphogear - Definition

​

A word which refers to armaments with supernatural abilities concealed within them, that appear in myths and legends all around the world.

Currently, they are the crystallization of impossible Black Arts*, and many of them have been excavated from archaeological sites etc.

Even if they are excavated, because of damage and deterioration caused by erosion, the ones who have remained in their former states, are truly rare existences. Hence, they exist as “Sacrist Fragments,” in most cases.

A Sacrist in its ground state, will go into an excited state through the power of songs, and release its power.

That goes for the 1st Sacrist “Ame no Habakiri” held by Tsubasa, which is a piece of a sword, that's part of its sword blade too, and the 3rd Sacrist “Gungnir” which Hibiki inherited from Kanade, which is just its tip. (Additionally, the only remaining fragments of it now are the broken pieces inside Hibiki’s chest.)
