Senki Zesshou Symphogear - Definition

It’s not like it’s possible for any song, or even anyone’s song to make a Sacrist activate. Therefore, it refers to a human who is capable of making a fragment of a Sacrist activate through song, and clad their bodies in the Anti-Noise Protector or Symphogear.

​

Currently, there are four confirmed Attuners.

​

Tsubasa Kazanari who activated the Ame no Habakiri when she was young. Kanade Amou who activated Gungnir, but its conditional. Hibiki Tachibana who inherited the Gungnir from Kanade because of an accident. And, Chris Yukine who appeared wearing the Ichaival which should’ve been lost 10 years ago.

The Japanese Government has just one person, Tsubasa categorized as a Attuner, Kanade and Hibiki, have become irregular existences because of their main acquired factors.

​

Since Chris is not under the Japanese Government’s control, an examination regarding her compatibility has not been carried out yet, though it is likely expected that she is the 2nd Attuner, following Tsubasa.

​

Even now, the Japanese Government is still secretly performing Attuner selection tests, but in addition to the fact that the absolute number of Attuners must remain small, and that the existence of the Symphogear is a top secret, it is in a state where it’s really not progressing at all.

A person who keeps a Psalm in their heart, and can resonate / sympathise with a Sacrist, is called an “Attuner.”

​

In the category of Attuners, there are 3 types of general classifications:

​

• The 1st type are those who constantly extend their innate aptitude through training like Serena, Tsubasa and Chris. 

• The 2nd type are those who periodically raise their innate aptitude, through medicating and training like Kirika, Shirabe, Maria and Kanade.

• And the 3rd type are those like Hibiki, who forcibly took the necessary compatibility factor at the eleventh hour, without medicating or even training, and after becoming Symphogear Holder who was made into a fusion subject through an incident.

 

There are still many mysteries behind Hibiki Tachibana’s case, who had reached compatibility from fusion, and in her current state where her examination and research still hasn’t progressed at all, she is being treated somewhat unchanged between a miracle or a type of happy accident.​
