Background

Glossary Entry

His real name is John Wayne Vercingetorix.

The developer of LiNKER which connects living beings to the Sacrists and (Symphogears).

Now deceased.

Having participated in the Frontier and Magical Girl Incidents, he sticks inside of Maria’s memories, as an obstinate memory.Whether the blame lies with his own unsteady body, he fell down a lot.

He was the possessor of a fanatical goal to be a hero, and had often burdened the Symphogear Holders with it. His speech and conduct which unhesitatingly/ unwaveringly couldn't care less about others' concerns, could truly be called a sign of his genius, but to the Average Joes who wouldn’t associate with him, he was nothing more than a natural disaster made into the shape of a person.

Since his enrollment at Yale University, he freely exhibited his prominent geniuses, and after successfully getting into contact with a couple of secret societies which existed at the same university, he got invited to the US Federation’s Sacrist Research Institute or (The Federal Institutes of Sacrist).

Background
Personality

John Wayne Vercingetorix was the true definition of a mad scientist. Despite displaying a normally calm demeanor at the start of Senki Zesshou Symphogear G, Dr. Ver was very much visibly insane. He was prone to sudden and extreme outbursts of emotion, and was also quite cowardly; running away and screaming (while tripping a lot) whenever things didn't go his way.

He also harbored a extreme fanatical ambition to become a hero, and was willing to do whatever it took to become one to the extent that he was willing to create a disaster for him to fight against and become a God (when he tried to force the moon into crashing into the earth). His madness became even more prominent the moment that he fused with the Nephilim Sacrist.

However, despite being mad, he was actually quite cunning and clever and could figure out things that no one else would have thought of. He also harbored a sincere passion to fly towards his dream and in the end was acknowledged as a hero by Maria, who proclaimed him to be the worst hero ever.

He was a promoter of "Love" being a Symphogear Holder's greatest strength.

Personality
History

Childhood

Not much is known about Dr. Ver's childhood, but it appears that he attended Yale University when he was younger and after joining a couple of secret societies where he displayed his genius at, was eventually invited to join America's Federal Institutes of Sacrist (F.I.S).

F.I.S

During his time at F.I.S., Dr. Ver became acquainted with Professor Nastassja and used some of Fine's LiNKER samples to create a superior version of LiNKER. He then joined Maria and co. in their plan to revive Nephilim and the Ame no Torifune in order to stop the falling moon and out of his initial belief that Maria was the current holder of Fine's soul.

History
Relationships

Maria Cadenzavna Eve

Dr Ver's relationship with Maria was very complicated. Despite initially working for the same side during the Frontier Incident, Maria detested Dr. Ver, but put up with him because she understood that he was necessary for their plan to save the Earth. Her hatred for him then increased to a murderous level, when he shot Professor Nastassja into space and leaving her there to die.

After re-encountering Dr. Ver during the Magical Girls Incident, Dr. Ver temporarily teamed up with Maria and co. to stop Carol's plan from succeeding. He later saved Maria and co, but ended up being fatally crushed under some rubble. Knowing that his end was near, Dr. Ver gave Maria a data chip with all of his research on it and asked if he had become a hero.

Despite hating him, Maria sadly replied to him that he was a hero, but the worst one ever.

Professor Nastassja

Dr. Ver and Professor Nastassja both share a professional relationship with each other. While they both respect each other as fellow researchers and scientists, Professor Nastassja hates the lengths that Dr. Ver goes to in order to achieve his goals.

Dr. Ver also acts as Professor Nastassja's personal doctor, but in truth, he despises being her nanny and felt betrayed when Professor Nastassja revealed in a secret conversation with Maria that Maria was not the holder of Fine's soul.

Sacrist

Sacrist

While technically not a Holder, Dr.Ver was in possession of the Nephilim Sacrist and became fused with it during the Frontier Incident. During his time in prison in the Undersea Dragon King's Palace, Dr. Ver became skilled at using its powers.

He could also use Solomon's Cane to summon and command NOISE.

Appearance

After fusing with Nephilim, Dr. Ver's left arm became grey and took on a appearance similar to Nephilim's.

Abilities

Dr. Ver originally had no combat or fighting abilities whatsoever. He primarily relied on Solomon's Cane to fight, by using it to summon a countless number of Noise to assault the Symphogear Holders with. However, after having been fused with Nephilim, a weak Dr. Ver got a boost in power. His strength increased to point where he could stop one of Chris' missiles with one hand and became able to mentally operate technology from the prehistorical civilization period.
