The Symphogears that were created from the green blade Igalima and the red blade Shul-Shagana, a pair of weapons that were wielded by the Sumerian war goddess, Zababa, are equipped with a “Unison” special function that amplifies their mutual power, by employing them together at the same time.

In terms of comprehensive combat abilities, senses and skills, Shirabe and Kirika are slightly weaker than the other Holders, however, depending on the requirements, it is possible for them to exhibit a more powerful output than anyone else, by using the unique feature of the gears that they both wear.

 

In fact, Shirabe’s and Kirika’s unisons so far, have repeatedly enacted upsets that have allowed them to defeat powerful enemies by outrivalling them with its true power.

 

On one hand, Unisons, can display a decisive power even in situations where the Ignite Modules cannot be used, because the “Unsheathed” mode has been sealed by the Lapis Philosophicus, but on the other hand, it also possess a weakness where its usage becomes not possible via easy methods like forcibly separating Kirika and Shirabe, and Genjuro has predicted that it could become an Achilles Heel for the enemy to target in the near future.

 

Furthermore, it is suggested that their unisons patterns, are assigned by the Holders through training.

Accordingly, it is called the unison of bonds.

​

So, it is a “pseudo-unison” that originates from their connections with their fellow holders who clad themselves in a Symphogear, and not a special feature of a Symphogear that can be relied upon, like with the red Shul-Shagana and the green Igalima.

In past battles, it has often been said that the shared psalm and the melody in the Holders’ chests are the same as their feelings and although there have been attempts to implement this more conveniently, with their pendants to a further level than this, it has at least been confirmed that there is a resonating / sympathetic vibrational Phonic Gain phenomenon between them.

​

Of course, since it is a pseudo-unison, the numerical factors of their rising output are not that huge, and the level of decisive battles like the ones with Shirabe’s and Kirika’s unisons aren’t necessarily attainable, but naturally, there is meaning in easily strategically imbedding, a hope for an impeccable performance to compensate for their weak points.

Though it has been considered, that implementing it with just simple theory, will not be that easy, if one includes the natural abilities possessed by Maria and Chris, their countless similar life or death struggles, and the paths they have taken thus far which have filled their hearts with a mutual distance, then a miracle like this is possible.
